I grew up in a musical family. We all learned to play the piano starting at very young age. My parent would teach my siblings and I lots of fun songs and we would go perform them any chance we got!
I secretly think my parents wanted us to be the Von Trapp Family Singers (from Sound of Music!)
As I got older, my parents encouraged me to expand my musical talents and I started learning the cello. Throughout high school I loved participating in orchestra and honor choir.
I went to SUU and started my degree in Music Education. I loved being in the music building! And the classes where I got to learn to play the musical instruments were my favorite!
I didn't finish my degree because I started my family. But it was then that I also taught piano lessons out of my home.
I have been teaching ever since and love it so much!
I was introduced to Let's Play Music over the last few years. It really intrigued me as I saw students starting private piano lessons with AMAZING musical knowledge at age 7! I was just so impressed!
I looked into the certification process to be a teacher and the rest is history.
I'm so excited to be offering Let's Play Music in the Hurricane Valley and helping families bring the magic of music into their homes!
When I'm not teaching classes, I loved spending time with my family!
I have 6 kids, Trey -12 Travis -10 Sadie - 8 Gideon - 6 Geric - 2 and Hunter - 9 months
We love to go to our family cabin in the mountains and we love to swim in the summer time.
I also am on the committee for a local nonprofit: The Birth Village that is about empowering women
And in my free time I love to read and binge shows on Netflix!
